Advertising Techniques 2

Create a Character

Some adverts are succesful because they get a character and build it up throughout a series of adverts. So when you see a certain character you know what they are advertising. An example of this would be Compare the Market adverts who introduced Alexander the Meerkat. When the first advert was shown with Alexander the Meerkat, no one knew who he was or what was being sold. However, everyone now knows who he is through the series of adverts.
